Privacy Policy

Effective October 26, 2026

Moshquito is an SSH and Mosh client for iPhone and iPad. It has no app account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. This policy explains the little data that leaves your device and why.

Your servers and terminal sessions

Moshquito connects directly from your device to the computers you add. Everything you type and everything the terminal shows travels between your device and your computer, encrypted by SSH or Mosh. It never passes through us and we can’t see it.

Images you paste into an AI agent are uploaded straight to your own computer over the same connection.

What’s stored on your device and in your iCloud

  • Saved servers (title, host, user name and port) are stored on your device and, when iCloud is on, synced through your own iCloud account so they appear on your other devices.
  • Passwords are stored only in the Keychain and synced with iCloud Keychain when you use it. They are never written to the server list.

Apple handles iCloud data under its own privacy policy; we have no access to it.

Agent notifications (optional)

If you turn on notifications for a server, the app registers that server with our push relay so a script on your computer can send alerts to your phone. The relay stores:

  • your device’s push notification token for Moshquito,
  • a random identifier for the server, and
  • the server name you chose in the app.

Your computer gets a random key to send notifications with; the relay keeps only a one-way hash of it. Each notification’s title, message and project folder pass through the relay to Apple’s push service and are not stored. Registrations are deleted when you turn notifications off for a server, delete the server, or when Apple reports that the app is no longer installed.

The relay runs on Cloudflare Workers, and notifications are delivered by the Apple Push Notification service. This data is used only to deliver your notifications. It is never sold, shared for advertising or linked to your identity.

Local network

iOS asks for local network access so Moshquito can reach computers on your Wi-Fi. It is used only for the connections you start.

Purchases

Moshquito has no in-app purchases yet. A later update will add Moshquito PRO as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payments will be processed by Apple, and this policy will be updated before purchases are available.

Children

Moshquito is a general-audience developer tool and isn’t directed at children.

Your choices

Delete a server in the app to remove it from your devices and from the relay. Deleting the app removes its local data. To ask about or delete any data, email [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
